Guidance/Responsibilities of the 501(C)(3) Non-profit Organizations for Student Scholarships
- Students must apply individually. Organizations may assist with preparing the application.
- All payments will be made directly to the Non-Profit. In order to receive payment, the Miller Foundation needs to receive from the Non-Profit a Bill/Invoice that includes:
- Date
- Students Name
- Total Cost – As applicable, Line Item Description of cost and the amount of scholarship to be awarded, which should be half of the total cost.
- Written documentation of matching funds or balance of fees beyond the BCreative scholarship. Written documentation is considered a receipt of balance paid or written communication from the organization that the balance of funds is identified.
- Upon receipt of first application, provide proof that the organization is a 501(C)(3) Non-profit located in the state of Michigan.
- Agree to notify The Miller Foundation if a recipient of the scholarship does not participate at all in the artistic experience.
